Periodontal disease is medically known as periodontitis, condition of the tissue surrounding the teeth. Due to inflammation the teeth can become loose and eventually the patient can lose them. There are several reasons for the development of periodontal disease: hereditary, in addition so-called “periodontopathogen” bacteria can be responsible for causing this disease which can be eliminated or reduced to a certain level. This is the most important part of the treatment. This can only be achieved with the patient active cooperation therefore we need to work together for the best results. This disease can accelerate due to smoking, stress, some metabolic disorders. It is also called a nucleus which affects the whole body.
At Kiss-Dent we have professional dental hygienists who clean the teeth above and below the gums and demonstrate the proper cleaning of the teeth and areas between the teeth. With better than average oral care we can keep bacteria away and prevent the development of periodontal disease or the reoccurrence of it.
After the professional hygienic cleanings in case of a more advanced periodontal condition we apply the necessary surgical procedures. In this case we remove all inflamed tissue, clean the bone and root surface of the bacteria.
In some cases surgical tissue regeneration can be done. In case of a loss of tooth an implant (artificial root) is available to replace it or we can offer conventional tooth replacements.
